Poetry

In 2012 I participated in a series of writing retreats designed to help us embrace writing as a spiritual practice. There was no expectation for production or publishing. Simply time given to writing as a way to draw closer to God. During that year I wrote poems almost exclusively. I find poetry to be healing. I love the use of images and the challenge of conveying deep meaning with a minimal number of words.

These are snippets of things I have written that I don’t want to lose. They may be responses to a quote, a flash of inspiration or the only way to get out what stirs inside me.
